Seeding Rates

 

Appropriate seeding rates for small grains are critical for maximizing yield, quality and reducing the additional harvesting costs associated with lodging.  Optimum seeding rates difer for irrigated and rainfed (dryland) production.  Several seeding rate studies have been conducted in the PNW.  Some of these are listed below for specific production systems.
