Westbred 881
Weatern Plant Breeders 1982 release.  PVP.  Awned, white chaff, semi-dwarf, good straw stength, fair yield potential under irrigation. Moderate tolerance to  stem rust, Septoria, powdery mildew but susceptible to leaf rust.  Excellent durum flour quality, the standard used for comparison with subsequent releases.

Kronos
Arizona Plant Breeders 1996 release. PVP.  Awned, white chaff, semi-dwarf, early maturing, good straw strength, excellent durum yield potential under irrigation, good test weight.  Resistant to black chaff, tolerant to leaf rust, powdery mildew, and Septoria.  Excellent milling yield and flour quality.

Utopia
World Wide Wheat 1997 release.  PVP.  Distributed by Northwest Consortium.   Black awned, semi-dwarf, early maturing, excellent irrigated durum yield potential, superior Semolina quality, excellent test weight and kernel size.

Alzada
A Westbred release contracted on an identity-preserved basis by Pasta Montana (Nippon Flour Mills, Tokyo).  There is no agronomic data on this variety for western Idaho as of 2005.
