Late Season N Enhanced Protein as Affected by Planting Dates and Varieties.

Irrigated field studies were conducted at the University of Idaho Parma Research and Extension Center for three years to evaluate the effects of wide ranging planting dates (late fall, early spring, late spring) on the protein response of hard spring wheat varieties (Vandal, WPB 936, and ID377s) to late season applied nitrogen.  The research was sponsored in part by the Idaho Wheat Commission.  The annual progress reports are available below as Adobe PDF files.   In addition, a PowerPoint poster presentation summarizing some of the results from the three year study was prepared for the 2001 ASA Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC.  This poster is also available for viewing.
