Soft White Winter Wheat Response to Reduced Irrigation

Wheat production with reduced water supplies is all to common in southern Idaho.   Reduced moisture has significant implications for N fertilization practices.   To study soft white winter wheat N requirements under different  irrigation regimes, field studies were conducted for two years at Parma and Kimberly Idaho.  The studies were supported by a grant from the Idaho Wheat Commission (IWC).  Jason Ellsworth, Extension Soil Specialist, prepared two IWC progress reports from these studies that are available below for viewing and downloading.  Questions related to these reports should be addressed to either Jason Ellsworth (jwellswo@uidaho.edu) or Brad Brown (bradb@uidaho.edu) .
