Section 18 Exemptions

Please Note: It is a violation of Federal Law to use these products in a manner inconsistent with the updated, EPA stamped label. This label must be in possession of the user at the time of pesticide application.

Dry Bulb Onions Thrips

Valid until September 15, 2007. One or two applications are allowed per season; applications should be made no less than 7 days apart. Maximum of 1.25 pounds formulated product per acre per season with one application; maximum of 0.75 pounds formulated product per acre for each of two applications (1.5 pounds product per acre per season total). Not to be applied through any type of irrigation system. Do not apply within 30 days of harvest. Crop residues should not be fed to livestock.

 New plant-back restrictions for fields treated with Carzol as follows:

·         No restrictions for onions

·         No restrictions for non-food crops grown for seed (e.g.,

·         No restrictions for livestock feed crops: alfalfa, clover, crown vetch, grass, lespedeza, lupine, trefoil and vetch; including these crops grown for seed.

·         30 day plant-back restriction for leafy vegetables

·         120 day plant-back restriction for cereal crops

·         120 day plant-back restriction for root and tuber crops

·         120 plant-back restriction for all other crops

CheckMite+ (coumaphos) EPA File Symbol # 07-ID-04 Honeybee Colonies Varroa Mites (Varroa spp.) and Small Hive Beetles (Athenia tumida) Valid until February 1, 2008. Chemical-resistant gloves must be used when handling CheckMite+ strips. Treatments must be applied at a time when bees are not producing a surplus honey crop. Not recommended for use in honeybee colonies that are used as cell builders for producing queens. Remove honey supers before application, and do not replace supers until 14 days after the strips are removed. Treatment is most effective when brood rearing is lowest. Do not leave strips in hives for more than 45 days. Do not treat more than twice a year for Varroa mites and no more than four times a year for small hive beetles.
Hivastan (fenpyroximate) EPA File Symbol # 07-ID-03 Beehives Varroa mites Valid until February 28, 2008. Effective control may be achieved by treating hives in the spring or fall prior to or after honey flow; not to be applied during periods of honey flow. Remove or destroy weak and queenless colonies prior to application. Treat all hives within each bee yard or apiary at the same time. Do not treat more than twice a year for Varroa mite control.
